Privacy Policy

Overview

Grade Titan is a comic book grading and deal-hunting tool built by Burke Comics. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

Short version: We collect only what we need to make the app work. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers.

Information We Collect

Photos you upload: When you scan a comic, the photo is sent to OpenAI's API for analysis. Photos are processed in real time and are not stored on our servers. OpenAI's data handling is governed by their privacy policy at openai.com/privacy.

Asking price and notes: The price and optional notes you enter are sent with your scan request for analysis. These are not stored after the scan is complete.

Pro subscription (iOS): On iOS devices, Grade Titan Pro is purchased through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple handles all payment processing for iOS subscriptions. We do not receive or store your payment information. Apple's privacy policy is available at apple.com/legal/privacy. We store a record locally on your device that your account has Pro access.

Pro subscription (Web and Android): On web and Android platforms, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy. We store a record that your account has Pro access.

Local storage: The app stores your Pro status and scan count locally on your device using browser localStorage. This data never leaves your device.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not require account creation or registration
• We do not collect your name, email address, or contact information unless you voluntarily provide it
• We do not track your location
• We do not use advertising networks or sell data to third parties
• We do not store comic photos after analysis is complete
• We do not use cookies for tracking

Third Party Services

Grade Titan uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Apple — In-App Purchase processing for iOS Pro subscriptions. Apple handles all payment transactions on iOS.
• eBay — Real-time market pricing is retrieved via eBay's Browse API. Comic title, issue number, and grade are sent as search queries to return current market values. No personal information is transmitted.
• OpenAI — AI-powered comic analysis and Titan Chat. Photos and scan data are sent to OpenAI for processing.
• Stripe — Secure payment processing for Pro subscriptions.
• Netlify — App hosting and serverless functions.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

Children's Privacy

Grade Titan is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Data Security

All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS. We use industry-standard security practices to protect the limited data we do handle. Since we don't store photos or scan data after processing, there is minimal data at rest to protect.

Your Choices

Since Grade Titan stores Pro status and scan counts locally on your device, you can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser or app storage. This will reset your scan count and Pro status.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date below. Continued use of Grade Titan after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
